Behaviours or Habits
When you don’t know why you have the behaviour, you can’t correct the behaviour.
When you know or recognize the behaviour, you begin the process of correcting the behaviour.
Behaviours become habits over time. We subconsciously just do things that may not serve our highest and best interest. No judgement here. You didn’t know and that’s okay. That’s all part of learning.
You may become embarrassed by what has been revealed to you. Once you recognize what you are doing or saying, don’t push the behaviour or habit away. Don’t deny what you have become consciously aware of. Have curiously to find out how to change the behaviour or habit and understand how it has served you and what you can learn.
When you see, hear or feel that something is not right, that’s the time to pay attention. This is when you are at the beginning of discovering something different about yourself. To feel safe enough to accept what you now understand and forgive yourself. Embrace this new knowledge, and recognize that change must occur to create something amazing.
Continuing to ignore or stuffing the behaviour deep inside will create dis-ease and your behaviour or prospection will not change. You have not learned and have stopped your growth. As you accept and become open, you will the opportunity to grow beyond where you are right now.
We are human and we are on this earth to learn valuable lessons. Our experiences through jobs, relationships, raising children, etc. gives us opportunities to become aware of our triggers and learn from them. When we don’t stop, observe or learn from these triggers, the situation just keeps on happening.
Who wants to continue to repeat the same thing over? I don’t, it’s not very comfortable. It’s like hitting your head against a cement wall again and again and expecting something different other than pain.
Visualize what it would be like to live your life differently, without the behaviour and habit.
You will discover that life holds miraculous opportunities to be the person of your desires. To create the outcomes, you dreamed of, and embrace new ways of living on this earth with the same people each day. To find moments of beauty instead of drudgery. To have gained the knowledge that it’s okay to change.
